MCC Tampa is in a time of transition where we will be following our denomination's interim process for our congregation status and future pastoral search. We are very fortunate to have hired one of our members, Mark Ferreira, as our acting Sunday pastor. He has also agreed to hold some office hours to attend meetings and help with congregational care.

We are in full communion with the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches (UFMCC) and proud to be the seventh church to incorporate with the fellowship. MCC Tampa has been serving the spiritual needs of the LGBTQ+ community since 1971 and historically the first recognized LGBTQ+ organization in the Tampa Bay area. Since 1996, we have been at our current location in the central Tampa neighborhood of Seminole Heights at the corner of N Central Ave. and E Cayuga St.

Metropolitan Community Church proclaims and practices a spirituality that is anchored in the liberating Gospel of Jesus Christ and confronts the issues of our volatile, uncertain, and complex world.
We are called to develop and equip leaders, congregations, and ministries that foster spiritual growth, do the work of justice, act with compassion, and integrate sexuality and spirituality.
We will do this through offering high-value training, local church support and resourcing, cutting edge theological exploration, and expanding partnerships.
